About Myself
I am a mother of 5 grown children and a Grandmother of 10. I have been in the field of daycare for the past 30 years. When my last child was born I knew I wanted to continue in the field of childcare, so off to college I went. I always wanted to be a teacher and I loved working with the young children. I graduated with my E.C.E. and when the time was right I opened up my own center allowing me to have the control I wanted to run an educationally based daycare that contained a balance of academics and play based learning.
I was fortunate enough to do my practicum in a kindergarten with one of the best teacher I could ask for. Not only was she a great kindergarten teacher, she was a great mentor for me, providing me with insight into what children where capable of learning, and how to accomplish this in a positive manner. She had a class of happy, engaged children that were encouraged to think. I walked away with knowledge that I could not have obtained from a book. A great experience and one I will pass onto your children.
